Samaresh Bhattacharya left us for a better world on 1/12/2020 after gracing mother earth for a little over eight decades . From the relative obscurity of his birth in HAPANIA village, PATULI, BURDWAN District, West Bengal to the first rank in School Final examinations in Burdwan District, to Presidency College , teacher in Maheshtala High School, Senior bureaucrat in the Labour Department in the Govt of West Bengal, ranking first in the IISWBM examinations (mid life achievement) to CGM , Jute Corporation of India to Director – Personnel , NJMC…A life filled with accomplishments and milestones.. honesty and integrity beyond question.

A life dedicated to ensuring literacy of every person in his native village and providing job opportunities to each and very potential aspirant from …Today a generation has benefited from his initiatives, indulgence and benevolence and continues to progress

Jagalben Valabhai Desai

Love transcends all barriers. It will mutate into a force to reckon with and beat all odds to reach its destination. The life and times of Jagalben Valabhai Desai who suddenly left us for a better world in early 2021 is a true testimony to this fact.

A homemaker, a mother par excellence , through her dignified approach, simplicity , a warm smile conveying the universal language of kindness, she could endear herself to all by breaking down every conceivable barrier.

The White Desert Mahamaya family was fortunate to have received her unequivocal blessings and love and we shall endeavour to carry forward the values that her life and times so proudly represent

When we began our quest for an inclusive future of equal opportunities, it was our friend and mentor, the late Mr Anamitra Chakladar who advised and encouraged us to formalise the journey through formation of the White Desert Mahamaya Trust

Anamitra Chakladar (1966 -2019) a renowned and accomplished photographer(brand ambassador for Canon) /video journalist with NDTV was a man who was loved by each and every person whose life he touched, a man who chose to live life to the fullest in every possible way, a man whose zest for life was infectious. A man whose name meant, a person with no enemies and how true that was.

Whilst covering the parliament terror attack in 2001, in spite of a bullet penetrating his lens cap.he continued to shoot and stayed brave throughout. It was similar courage and resolve that he exhibited whilst battling multiple ailments in the last few years of his life. Always positive, ever smiling ,willing to share his vast experience,exchange notes and help… his memories (From Dust You Came, and To Dust You Shall Return..)will be cherished and continue to inspire the White Desert Mahamaya family.
